Certificates of Recognition Program

The Samoyed Association of Canada is pleased to offer certificates recognizing the wide range of activities and achievements of the Samoyed breed.

SAC encourages its members to participate with their Samoyeds in a variety of events including conformation, obedience, rally obedience, and therapy to the many performance events such as herding, agility, draft dog, lure coursing, weight pull, sledding and many more.  SAC recognizes Samoyeds that achieve high results in any discipline. Certificates are open to all current Samoyeds (including those without a Conformation championship title) providing the owner is a SAC member in good standing at the time of the application.  If your Samoyed passed away in the year subsequent to application year, your Samoyed is still eligible for this award. Samoyeds must be registered with CKC, AKC or other such as a CKC Canine Companion Number (CCN).

The Certificates of Recognition Program was approved by the SAC Board of Directors in 2017 and was launched in 2018. SAC members apply for certificates for titles and/or activity requirements according to the membership year. There will be no certificates for titles and/or activity requirements earned prior to 2017. The deadline for application is July 1st.

Events not requiring 2 or more qualifying results are not eligible, such as Canine Good Neighbour and herding instinct tests.

See the List of Events Table for eligible activities and links to qualifying criteria.
