Judging all Regular and Non-Regular/Unofficial Classes

I have owned and exhibited Samoyeds since 1995 under the Celtic Frost prefix. The breed made a lasting impression on me back in the late 70’s while taking care of my sisters Samoyed. Fast forward to today where, along with my wife Lesley, we have experienced some of our greatest personal achievements in dogdom. Our first trip to the Samoyed Club of America Nationals in Frederick, Maryland in 2000 saw our foundation bitch winning Grand Futurity. In 2014 our boy Tucker became the first Canadian Samoyed to win the SCA National in Des Moines, IA – breeder, owner, handled. His granddaughter followed in his footsteps and won the 2018 SCA Nationals in Grey Summit, MO – again, breeder, owner, handled. Over the years, we have produced multi Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, Best Puppy in Show, Best Puppy in Specialty Show and Group winning dogs on both sides of the boarder. I have served as a director of the Samoyed Association of Canada, President of the Northwestern Ontario Working Dog Association and Director of the Samoyed Club of Ontario. I am currently a member of CDJA and serve on the Judges Education Committee for the Samoyed Club of America and a member of the NorthShore Dog Club. I have more recently began to instruct beginner and advanced Handling seminars at our US Nationals. I was born and live in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In my professional work life, I am a Master Electrician and owner of a family business. I took the leap into meeting the requirements for dog Judging and obtained my Working Group status in 2022. I am currently on permit for half of the breeds in the Herding Group and hope to complete this Group in 2024. I have had the privilege of judging through out Canada and the US the past 4 years and look forward to my assignment with the Edmonton Kennel Club and the Samoyed Association of Canada.

Sincerely, Joe Deleo
